When you are charged, and what changes when you switch

Moving up and moving down are handled differently. This page collects the parts that are easy to get wrong.

How billing works

Charged monthly

Your registered card is charged each period, at the point the period turns over.

Usage resets with the period

Monthly items such as questions and pages learned refill when the billing period turns over — by billing period, not by signup date.

Currency follows the language

Korean screens show won; English screens show dollars.

Tax is added separately

Listed prices exclude tax. Won-denominated charges have VAT added at checkout.

When you change plan

  1. 1

    Upgrades apply immediately

The remaining time is calculated and only the difference is charged. Once payment clears, the new plan and its limits are available at once.

  2. 2

Downgrades wait for the period to end

You keep what you paid for until the period closes, then the lower plan takes effect. Money already paid is not returned.

  3. 3

You can undo a pending change

A scheduled change can be cancelled before the period turns over, and your current plan simply continues.

One change per billing period

Plan changes are limited to once within a billing period, which keeps repeated up-and-down switching from tangling the proration.

What cancelling does

Cancelling moves you to the free plan from the next period. The period you already paid for runs to its end, and that period is not refunded. Before it ends you can undo the cancellation and carry on.

Dropping to the free plan does not delete your material or visitor records. You simply cannot create beyond the free plan limits, and paid-only features stop appearing.

This page is written to help you understand the arrangement. Actual rights and obligations follow the terms of service.

Common questions

What if a payment fails?
A plan never changes before payment is confirmed. If automatic billing fails, the account moves to the free plan when the period ends.
Does the free plan need a card?
No. Start without one and register a card only when moving to a paid plan.
Can we get a tax invoice?
Send us an enquiry and we will walk you through it.
We want to change the card on file.
Register a new card in subscription management and the next charge uses it.
